Cookie Policy
Effective date: August 12, 2026
The short version: deertally.com does not set cookies. No login, no shopping cart, no ad network — there's nothing on this site that needs one.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website can store in your browser to remember information between visits — for example, to keep you signed in or to track your activity across sites for advertising. DeerTally doesn't use them.
2. What this site actually uses
This site's only measurement tool is Cloudflare Web Analytics. It's built specifically to work without cookies or any other persistent client-side identifier (like a device fingerprint), and it cannot follow you from this site to another one. It reports back only aggregated, anonymous numbers — total visits, pages viewed, referring sites, approximate (country-level) location, and browser/device type — with no way to tie that data to a specific person.
Because this tool sets no cookie and stores nothing in your browser, it runs automatically and doesn't require (or trigger) a cookie-consent banner. If you'd rather not be counted at all, browser extensions that block third-party scripts (such as ad blockers or tracker blockers) will prevent the analytics beacon from loading — the site works exactly the same either way.
3. No third-party or advertising cookies
- No advertising or retargeting cookies.
- No social media "share" or "like" button trackers.
- No third-party embeds (video, fonts, etc.) that set cookies.
- No session cookies, because there are no accounts or logins on this site.
4. The DeerTally app
This policy covers the deertally.com website. The DeerTally app itself isn't a website and doesn't use cookies at all — see our Privacy Policy for how the app handles (and mostly doesn't handle) data.
5. Changes to this policy
If that ever changes — for instance, if we add a feature that requires a cookie — we'll update this page and the effective date above first.
